You’re tall, you could probably swing a two-handed broadsword if we packed some muscle on you, but it’s slow.

Let me talk to Alucard. He had a sword he could use as a wolf.

We give me enough muscle and muscle memory, I could be fast, maybe? We might have to test it out. Test a few out, maybe.

I don't think the light saber would be the way to go though. Damn.

I feel like unless it's a magic sword, I'd just have to grip it in my mouth or something.

Plus I only have the one. I can make a few practice swords, see how you handle the weight.

Nothing's wrong with the kitchen, I'm just fighting with a few people there.

Let's look for some good baking recipes sometime, maybe see about what sword works before getting me fit to lift it?

All right. Come by my cabin sometime, I've got some of most sizes for you to try.

I'll be by after my shift today, if that works for you.

Yeah, that's no problem. It's cabin six-one-six.

[astraymoon]

Cool. Be there in a few hours.

[And it's about three hours later, and he's down to cabin 616, knocking on the door. His hands are a little red, he smells of cleaning product, and he looks a little tired. But he brightens up when he sees Trevor's face.]

Hey.

[atowncalledtreffy]

Hi.

[he says with an easy smile, opening the door to reveal the veritable metric shitton of weapons in his cabin. He's pulled five swords from the wall and set them on the cot nearby, all different weights and sizes]

Oh...wow. It's like a museum.

[Sharp pointy swords. Swords! Swords!!! He glances around, taking in small deep breaths.

...he was sniffing like a canine don't worry about it.]

So these the Swords we trying today?

Sort of. I'll take it for a compliment.

[he snorts, nodding]

Well, I tried to get a variety of what I thought you'd like. Most of them, sure. But first..

[Trevor reaches behind him to take from his belt what is unmistakably the hilt of a powered-down lightsaber]

It's the coolest shit I've seen, and better then some I've been to.

[He was grinning- and his eyes lit up, making a soft, near squeak.]

Oh fuck yeah. You seriously have it!

[atowncalledtreffy]

Heh. 'Course. Here, point it away from you when you turn it on.

[Trevor hands it over]

Well yeah, that'd be a dumb way to die.

[His laugh is soft, excited, and he slowly looks over the light saber. It's so cool. It's seeing a movie come to life- a story he loved.

He feels it with his hands, before carefully pointing it away from him and Trevor and figures out how to turn it on.

And he crows in triumph when he does.]

[He chuckles, leaning back against the cot, looking a touch proud]

Well. Looks good on you.

[astraymoon]

It looks so cool on me.

[He's grinning, gently holding up the plasma sword with glee. It's like a dream come true, as he slowly waves it in the air.

Away from Trevor and himself of course.]

It's so light.

[atowncalledtreffy]

I think that's where the name comes from.

[he's such a shit. Trevor grins, watching]

It definitely took some getting used to. I'm used to air resistance, weight balance. This one had none of it.

[astraymoon]

Jack ass. You know it's a beacon of light.

[Even that joke doesn't stop him from grinning from ear to ear. It's just kind of fun to wave it around, and hear that tellatale hum. It really is a dream come true.]

You expect it to have more weight, but it's all hilt. It makes sense though.

Because this is a weapon of a hero. They gotta keep going, keep moving forward, have stamina, deflect...weird space shit. Y'know?

[He lowers the plasma sword, though he keeps it in his hands.]

I always wanted one of these. I wanted to be a hero, as a kid.
