It had taken Hanna long time to get back from the spire. He's fucking exhausted, but that doesnt mean he is done with work yet.
He checks his item once he gets back, looking all for the world like he needs a nap, but that sound from Germaryah... he needs to check in.
And maybe the phone call had been more for himself than Germaryah, but when you're forced to choose to live or die, he knows where he'd stand on whether or not he wanted an apology.
Germaryah couldn't bolt out where he was because he didn't have thumbs.
But he could, and did, curl up into a giant ball, as a wolf. His clothes were torn up, and thankfully they were the only thing that was torn up in the cabin.
He didn't respond to the noise of Hanna coming in. He was just a big, black, fur ball, shaking every so often.
Hanna doesnt care mych about property damage even if he had made a mess, he comes in, sits his ass down on the floor and very gently runs his fingers through the thick scruff on his neck and shoulders, trying for soothing.
He's pretty sure Ger can smell him, so its not a surprise.
Germaryah offered a low grumble in his throat. It wasn't quite a growl, but it was an unhappy noise.
He didn't try to hold on at least, but put his head down, his eyes away from Hanna's. They were a queer color- not exactly gold or green, or brown or even hazel. It was a muddy Mish mash.
"Like you care." The words were rough- not from his accent. Like he was having a hard time bringing words together.
"I wouldn't be in here if I didn't care." He reasons with him, though his tone is soft. He does remove his hand though, sighing.
"I don't have healing magic, but you want something to ease the pain?" Or at least forget about it? He can do that.
He rests his hands in his lap, ready to pull his marker out but waits. He knows how this hurts, feels a little bad that he'd pushed Trevor to make the call, but he thinks its better to know now than to learn from someone else.
Hanna pulls his marker out, using his hand as a drawing surface for the rune he's crafting for Ger.
"Be careful with that one, 'waste of time'. John's got opinions on that. Trust me." He coughs into his elbow, leaning heavily back against the wall as he draws.
Hanna doesn't blame him at all. Maybe later when he's feeling a little better, they can have a real talk, one that involved feelings and what to do, where to go, how to maybe feel a little better?
But there was nothing wrong with being mad about what happened, so he doesn't try to fix it. Nothing too fix that isn't in Trevor's soon to be nonexistent court.
Hanna finishes the rune, offering his hand for one of those massive paws, "got your remedy in my hand, just gotta put your paw right here."
The magic sparks pink under his paw and a wave of fuzz rolls over Germaryah, the kind you can sink into, dulling the pain. He hopes that helps as its the best he can do while still keeping the kid mostly sober.
"He gave me a training light saber for Christmas. I still have it, though I'm shit with it. It's still a prized possession." Hanna sniffs, thinking about where Trevor was two years ago when he'd gifted it to him. Time and the Barge wasn't kind to him these past two years, just watching his friend get angrier.
He sucks in a slow breath and sighs, "You're welcome to it when ever you want."
Hanna glances his way but doesn't turn his head, "you know what my best friend said about me after knowing me for like three days? He just showed up at my doorstep and I hired him, got a best friend and a new roommate all in the span of like ten minutes."
Hanna isnt going to make him guess, but he will pause if Ger had any ideas.
Hanna shook his head, "naw, he wasn't anything of that, he was a man with no memory and nowhere else to go. But that isnt the point. He said my biggest strength, and my greatest weakness is empathy. I don't do pity, I got enough of that myself when I was your age and it sucks."

At least he hadn't wrecked anything.

And he made to give Hanna a nip on the arm. A nip, only because his teeth were huge and he didn't want to actually try to break skin. Or bones.

There was that M word talk again, and it was filled with loathing.
